Massage improves circulation and lymph flow, lubricates joints, reduces muscle spasms, reduces swelling and scar tissue formation, improves range of motion, reduces pain, and can reduce physical and mental stress. It also reduces anxiety and cortisol levels thereby improving sleep, concentration, and a sense of well being, as well as acting as preventative care for the plethora of stress related illnesses that plague modern high-paced society. Massage is commonly used in conjunction with our New York Chiropractic care pre-manipulation to relax the musculature surrounding the spine and post-manipulation to reduce spasm, also to allow for optimal flow of nerve impulses throughout the body.


Here are some tips for after the massage:

If possible, rest or take a walk after a massage (for 20 minutes or so) to allow some time to adjust to your new relaxed state. I find this helps me get the most out of a massage.

Drink lots of water. This helps the body release toxins that you were able to release during the massage.

After a massage, a nice warm bath can be very refreshing.

GOLD MEMBERSHIP = $199 initiation =  $1.00 a minute for massage (all year $60 an hour)

SILVER MEMBERSHIP = $99 initiation = $1.25 a minute for massage (all year $75 an hour)
