Chiropractic Care in New York City

Our Chiropractic Services in New York City

Dr. David Kulla, DC provides individualized chiropractic care at Synergy Wellness Chiropractic & Physical Therapy in New York City. With more than 26 years of clinical experience, Dr. Kulla evaluates and treats a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including back pain, neck pain, sciatica, herniated discs, spinal stenosis, scoliosis, sports injuries, and other conditions affecting mobility and function.

Our Manhattan office, located at 237 First Avenue near East 14th Street, combines chiropractic care with physical therapy, rehabilitation, Cox Flexion-Distraction, spinal decompression, cold laser therapy, and other conservative treatment approaches when appropriate. Each patient receives an individualized evaluation and treatment plan based on their history, examination findings, goals, and clinical needs.

Every patient is evaluated individually by Dr. David Kulla, DC to determine the likely source of their symptoms and whether chiropractic care is appropriate. The evaluation may include a detailed health history, orthopedic and neurological examination, postural and movement assessment, and review of relevant diagnostic imaging when available. Treatment recommendations are based on the patient’s examination findings, diagnosis, goals, and individual needs.

Our clinical evaluation may incorporate diagnostic and functional assessment tools to better understand a patient’s condition and guide treatment. When additional imaging, medical evaluation, or specialist consultation is appropriate, we may refer patients for further assessment.

A Conservative, Individualized Approach to Chiropractic Care

At Synergy Wellness, our goal is to identify the musculoskeletal factors contributing to a patient’s pain, restricted movement, or loss of function and develop an appropriate conservative treatment plan. Chiropractic care may include spinal manipulation, mobilization, Cox Flexion-Distraction, soft-tissue techniques, therapeutic exercise, rehabilitation, and other therapies depending on the patient’s condition and clinical findings.

Chiropractic care is not appropriate for every condition. When symptoms or examination findings suggest that diagnostic imaging, medical evaluation, or another type of care may be needed, we help patients determine an appropriate next step.

Treatment at Synergy Wellness is hands-on and individualized, with an emphasis on restoring movement, improving function, and helping patients return to daily activities as comfortably and safely as possible. Depending on the patient’s condition, care may include chiropractic manipulation or mobilization, rehabilitation exercises, soft-tissue techniques, Cox Flexion-Distraction, and other conservative therapies.
